My God’s Love Story

 Serenity Prayer

God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Whoa! I look back through the years and see how God helped my family and I to accept what we could not change with each other ( how often have I tried to do that through the years) I’m so thankful God has been by my side helping me to see and accept the things I could not change; The Courage to change the things I can: How many times I have changed jobs to be able to be there for our children, to be there as a family; How amazing our wonderful God is to open doors and pathways in the directions that we needed to go. The Wisdom to know the difference: Our all seeing God giving us the Wisdom to know what decisions, directions, or outlook to have on our lives ; And forgiving us when we are not perfect.  WOW! What a wonderful God!!

Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.

My family and I took one day at a time facing our struggles, trials, hardships, laughter, joy, death in our family, birth of our children and counting it all joy; James 1: 2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

Taking as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will.

We have trusted Our Almighty God, he is and has been our foundation in our marriage, our children and our family.

That I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in the next!

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

  1. Love how you brought the serenity prayer into the blog topic this week. And yes I love how you said “living one moment at a time”. One of my favorite things is “making the moments matter”. I have to remind myself of that often when my plans change. Thanks for sharing. Debbie W. (Proverbs 31 Ministries OBS Team)
